BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Central Michigan University baseball team was led by a huge day from junior cleanup hitter Daniel Jipping Sunday afternoon as it downed Bowling Green by a count of 8-2.
The Chippewas (21-18, 10-2 Mid-American Conference) won two of three in the series and keep a two-game lead in the MAC West Division.
Jipping was an offensive juggernaut, connecting on a pair of three-run home runs in his first two-at bats in the first and third innings to give CMU a 6-0 cushion. He added an RBI double in a two-run sixth inning to push the lead to help push the lead to eight runs.
