MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Sue Guevara didn’t have to look far to fill her vacant assistant coaching position.
Courtney Shelton, a former video coordinator with the Chippewas, has joined Guevara’s staff as an assistant. She is the second assistant to join the staff in recent weeks. The first was Murrial Page, who was named to a post two weeks ago.
“Hiring two new positions, it was very important to me that the fit was good,” said Guevara, who is entering her 11th season as CMU’s head coach and led the Chippewas in March to their first regular-season Mid-American Conference championship since 1985.
