ATHENS, Ohio - The Central Michigan University women’s basketball team maintained the pace atop the Mid-American Conference West Division Wednesday as it bested host Ohio 70-64 from the Convocation Center.
The Chippewas have now won five straight games and are 19-6 overall and 11-2 in MAC play. They also lead the MAC West Division.
Ohio, which leads the MAC East Division, falls to 18-6 overall and to 9-4 in conference games.
CMU head coach Sue Guevara also picked up her 172nd career win in the maroon and gold via the victory and is now the winningest coach in program history.
