Chippewas Earn Prestigious Academic Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Three members of the Central Michigan women’s golf team have been named All-American Scholars by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

The Chippewas’ Natalie Johnson, Danielle Sawyer and Kristen Wolfe received the honor along with 949 other women who play NCAA Division I golf. To be eligible, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.50 grade point average.

It is the second consecutive season that Johnson and Wolfe have been named an All-American Scholar. Both are seniors-to-be, while Sawyer is beginning her sophomore season.
