Trenton Robinson has Surgery on Torn Pec, Expected to Miss 2016

The Panthers safety position took a hit this week as free agent addition Trenton Robinson underwent surgery for a torn pectoral muscle on Wednesday, according to Robinson’s Twitter account.

The general prognosis for a torn pec is positive but it usually takes five to six months to heal, which for NFL players means a full season is lost.

The fifth year safety was injured in the Panthers most recent preseason matchup with the Tennessee Titans.
