Earlier this week, Carolina Panthers’ defensive coordinator Steve Wilks told Bill Voth of Panthers.com that he hopes to get Shaq Thompson on the field more in 2017. These added snaps for Thompson would mean Thomas Davis could see his playing time cut in the upcoming season.
The veteran linebacker took to Instagram on Wednesday seemingly in response to the news. He posted a video of him working out and showed support for the former first round pick receiving more playing time. Davis wrote, “My dawg @shaqthompson is a beast and most certainly needs to be on the field more.
