After I watched SB Nations’ How Cam’s Panthers went up in smoke video it left me nostalgic for 2015 when Carolina went 15-1 and reached the Super Bowl. On a whim I pulled up the Panthers Football Reference page from that season and as I was scrolling through the game results my eyes were immediately drawn to how many turnovers Carolina’s defense forced that season. It was 39!
In Week 1 they forced three turnovers in a 20-9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. In Week 4 they manufactured four turnovers in a 14-point win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
