When Michael Bennett was given the NFC defensive player of the week award a few days ago, more than a few people said that Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Kawann Short should have gotten the honor.

Well, Newton and everyone else who thinks that Short got the shaft can relax, because he just won a much bigger award.
