The Carolina Panthers have added a number of weapons for Cam Newton this offseason including Russell Shepard, Charles Johnson, Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel. However, if they really want to give Newton a chance to return to MVP form, they should try to sign Jeremy Maclin.
Maclin was released on Friday by the Kansas City Chiefs, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Maclin is a talented wide receiver and it wouldn’t be a surprise if his time as a free agent was short. If the Panthers are interested, they should move quick because Jeremy Maclin is exactly what this offense needs.
