Bye Week Review: What we’ve learned so far about the offense

The Carolina Panthers entered the new season as a Super Bowl favorite, however much like every other season since Cam Newton and Ron Rivera took over, the team sported quite a few question marks. Such has become the norm for the Panthers under Dave Gettleman’s regime, a GM who helped lead the Panthers to three playoff berths all without breaking the bank on supporting talent. Some criticized his approach, however it generally worked out for the Panthers as they often cut ties with players who had some gas left in the tank, but declining with age. That approach continued this season, however he let go of a player entering his prime in Josh Norman who carried a hefty price tag, and did little with the extra money and relied on his drafting process.
