Newton is one of the few dual-threat quarterbacks that remain after the read option explosion that occurred a few years ago where team’s across the league had threatened to let their quarterbacks run wild. One reason Newton has retained his ability to run is because of his sheer body size. He’s big and strong enough to withstand hits. This has been good news for fantasy owners and for the Carolina Panthers.
