RALEIGH, NC – Doug Warf, Vice President of Marketing for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes and Executive Director of the Kids ‘N Community Foundation, today announced that the Foundation has selected Durham Nativity School and Transitions LifeCare as two new recipients of GOAL Grants.
The GOAL Grant for Durham Nativity School will be used to fund the addition of a fifth grade at the school where they provide a tuition-free, enriched learning environment and a 12-year support system for boys. At Transitions LifeCare, the grant will help launch a pediatric palliative and hospice care program for children, birth to 18 years old, facing life-limiting illness.
