Hurricanes Agree to Terms with Justin Shugg

RALEIGH, NCRon Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team agreed to terms with forward Justin Shugg on a one-year, two-way contract. The deal will pay Shugg $600,000 at the NHL level, or $85,000 at the American Hockey League (AHL) level in 2015-16, with a guarantee of $100,000.

“Justin provides our organization with good depth at forward,” said Francis. “He led Charlotte in scoring last season and has improved his offensive production each year since turning pro.
