Flames 4, Hurricanes 1

The Carolina Hurricanes dampened any playoff thoughts fans might have had as they dropped a stinker against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday night, losing 4-1 against a team they beat easily in Raleigh before the All Star break.

The Canes could get nothing going on their powerplay while allowing two powerplay goals to the lowly Flames, who were ranked at the bottom of the league with the man advantage.

Sean Monahan, who was drafted right after Elias Lindholm, had a goal and three assists and had a hand in each of the Calgary scores.
