The Carolina Hurricanes hit the pipes a couple of times and outshot the Capitals throughout but ended up losing to their division rivals, 2-1 in a shootout on Sunday night at the PNC.
After the game Rod Brind’Amour seemed happy enough with the game and how it went.
“We did everything we wanted to do, we just didn’t score. The game went exactly how we thought it was going to go, based on how they played all year. They’ve played tight, tight games. I thought we stuck with our game plan really well. We hit a few goalposts.
