Erik Karlsson has had a chance to sit down with new head coach Guy Boucher. And, the Ottawa Senators captain liked what he heard.
Karlsson, who turned 26 last month, met with Boucher recently and was impressed with the fresh approach.
"We had a lengthy meeting about a number of things and it was good to finally to see him and hear his thoughts and maybe that's why I'm so excited right now," Karlsson said on Tuesday.
Boucher, hired by the Senators on May 8, previously coached the Tampa Bay Lightning and SC Bern of the Swiss pro league.
