RED DEER – As far as revenge goes, it doesn’t get much better than this.
When the Red Deer Rebels were punted from the WHL playoffs by the eventual-champion Brandon Wheat Kings last month, they knew there would likely be an opportunity for payback.
That time has arrived.
The Rebels have a shot at sending the Wheat Kings home from the Memorial Cup when the WHL rivals clash on Wednesday (6 p.m. at the Centrium, Sportsnet West, 106.7 FM The Drive).
Rebels power forward Jake DeBrusk said he’s looking forward to this shot at redemption.
