Patrick Kane's time with the Chicago Blackhawks might be coming to an end.
And not just because of explosive allegations the 26-year-old raped a woman in upstate New York last month.
Kane, who hasn't been charged in connection to the case, is being sought by at least five NHL teams as a trade target despite the ongoing investigation in Hamburg, a suburb of Buffalo, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The three-time Stanley Cup champ is entering the first year of an eight-year, $84 million deal.
According to the Sun-Times, Blackhawks brass had warned Kane to steer clear of trouble after prior unsavoury incidents.
