NASHVILLE — New guy, meet the other new guy.
One day after arriving in a trade from the Arizona Coyotes, defenceman Michael Stone will log his debut for the Calgary Flames in Tuesday’s road date with the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena.
His partner? Matt Bartkowski, who signed with the Flames last week and will be skating for just the second time in Calgary’s colours.
“Old news now, eh?” cracked a Flames staffer as Bartkowski strolled into the locker-room after Tuesday’s morning skate.
Stone’s whirlwind started Monday when he was informed he wouldn’t be in Arizona’s lineup that night against the Anaheim Ducks.
