The Calgary Flames Best #36 Of All Time's saga with the team is officially over. Today the Flames paid Troy Brouwer the final $1.5 million he's owed due to his buyout from August of 2018.
Calgary and Brouwer were never a good mix and the signing will certainly go down as one of Brad Treliving's worst. After the 2015-16 season the Flames signed Brouwer to a four year, $18 million dollar contract and the results were never there. He played in 150 regular season games for Calgary over two seasons and collected only 47 points during that time frame.
