Welcome to September.
Where did summer go? Seriously, it shouldn’t be in the rearview mirror already.
However, now that we’ve flipped the calendar, it means the Calgary Flames’ season is right around the corner.
In fact, once Labour Day weekend has come and gone and the Calgary Stampeders have faced the Edmonton Eskimos in what should be a CFL classic at McMahon Stadium, the Flames rookies will be arriving and main camp will kick off a week later.
As sad as we are to see the warm days of summer leave, there are so many things to look forward to in the coming days, and not just whether the Flames will make any headway in their quest for a new arena.
