Calgary Flames coach Bob Hartley urges fans to celebrate season's victories peacefully, respectfully

Speaking with a passion and eloquence that has helped make him the front-runner for coach of the year, Bob Hartley wants those people who have joined the C of Red to know how much he appreciates it.

But he also wants them to know there are boundaries, especially for a city-wide celebration that is known coast-to-coast for being so peaceful and respectful.

It’s part of what sets Calgary and its fans apart from Vancouver or Montreal, where fan gatherings have made news in the past for the wrong reasons.

Hartley wants and welcomes everyone in town to join the team but was quick to condemn the few cretins still stuck in 2004 who think it’s OK to let their booze do their talking by disrespecting others in the midst of the 17th Ave.
