Cal elevates Tim O’Toole to associate head coach

The California Golden Bears have permenantly retained Tim O’Toole, and have now made him the lead assistant on Wyking Jones’s first coaching staff.

I think we can safely presume Tracy Webster (Cuonzo Martin’s associate head coach) is now headed elsewhere. That will leave Cal with two assistant coaching hires left to make to round out the staff.

O'Toole has previously served as the head coach of Fairfield from 1998 to 2006, posting a record of 112-121. O'Toole then served as an assistant at Syracuse, Duke and Stanford. O’Toole spent his last three seasons across the Bay Area with the Cardinal under Johnny Dawkins, where Stanford captured a prestigious second NIT championship, but they also did make a Sweet 16 run.
