Tanner Mangum deals with rainy, sloppy conditions again in BYU's spring scrimmage

PROVO — BYU’s spring scrimmage Saturday afternoon at LaVell Edwards Stadium was kind of turned into the fifth quarter of last December’s soggy Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego.

Under cloudy skies, rain and cold temperatures — and in front of a crowd of about 6,000 fans — the Cougars practiced and scrimmaged in an event that saw starting quarterback Tanner Mangum struggle at times in the wet conditions.
