Florida school shooting survivors will speak in Utah today: Here’s what you need to know

Exactly five months ago, they survived a mass shooting at their Florida high school. Today, they’ll be in Utah to talk about the national movement for gun reform that came next.

Student survivors and activists from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School will visit the largely conservative state for a widely anticipated town hall on Saturday. The 90-minute event, which will be held at the Mountain America Expo Center, 9575 S. State Street, starts at 6 p.m.

The venue can hold up to 3,000 attendees — and tickets are not required. The event is free and open to the public.
