PROVO — It wasn't BYU's prettiest win, but the Cougars managed to come away with a 30-13 victory over UConn Friday.
The defense held its own for the most part against the Huskies' offense. The Cougar offense gained a lot of yards, but miscues and turnovers kept BYU from turning those yards into points until late in the game.

Quarterback
Tanner Mangum is an incredibly talented and gutsy true freshman quarterback, which is what he looked like against the Huskies. He forced some throws, such as his two interceptions.
