Split between multiple competitions, Butler track and field wrapped up its final meet of the week on Saturday at the Ball State Challenge in Muncie, Ind., led by a school record jump by sophomore Dakota Thompson.
Field events and relays ruled for the Bulldogs at Ball State. The team's lone win was a men's 1600-meter relay race, where the squad clocked 3:23.91 for first place. Butler took second in the men's 400-meter relay and third in the women's 1600-meter relay.
Butler track and field will be back in action this coming weekend at the Illinois Twilight meet in Champaign, Ill.
