Purdue transfer Eric Hunter returns home to Indy, may solve Butler basketball's point guard issue

INDIANAPOLIS – Butler has seemingly secured its point guard..

The 6-4 Eric Hunter Jr., a transfer from Purdue, posted on social media Friday he has committed to the Bulldogs.

Hunter, an Indianapolis native who played high school basketball at Tindley, averaged 6.2 points and 2.0 assists last season. He shot 46% on 3-pointers. In Big Ten play, his 52% shooting on 3s led the conference.

He also made the Big Ten all-defensive team.
