It would be difficult for Butler to top its 74-66 upset of No. 2 Villanova on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs had never before won on the home court of an opponent ranked so high.
But there is a road victory more precious — a 59-44 win at Milwaukee in the 2011 Horizon League championship game. That sent to the Bulldogs to the NCAA tournament, and it’s questionable whether they would have otherwise received an at-large bid. Butler went on to reach a second national championship game.
