Yet here is the issue with these 14th-ranked Bulldogs: They have rarely been great, and especially not lately. Great teams don’t fall behind by 25 on the road. Great teams don’t fall behind by 18 at home. Great teams don’t lose to sub-.500 opponents that are almost out of the Top 200.
Yet this is not an issue of half-empty or half-full. The Dawgs’ water bowl is at about 80 percent.
