Big East? The Butler Bulldogs really come up big out West.
In a return to the city where they made their first Final Four, the 18th-ranked Bulldogs finished a 3-0 trip by defeating Utah 68-59 Monday night at Salt Lake City.
For Butler, Kelan Martin scored 18 points and Tyler Wideman 15 on 6-of-6 shooting. The Bulldogs shot 53 percent and limited Utah to 37 percent.
The Bulldogs (7-0) scored their fourth victory over a Power Six opponent, ending Utah’s 32-game home winning streak against nonleague opponents. Butler earlier beat Northwestern, then won a Las Vegas tournament last week by beating Vanderbilt and then-No.
