INDIANAPOLIS – Four down. One to go.
Christian David is keeping his commitment to Butler, a source told IndyStar late Sunday night. That means four-fifths of the highest-rated basketball recruiting class in school history is on board.
New coach LaVall Jordan is to meet this week with Kyle Young of Massillon, Ohio, perhaps Monday, another source said. And Jordan is moving fast to assemble a staff.
A source said Brandon Crone is staying on at Butler as coordinator of basketball operations. Crone, 32, has served in that role for three seasons after spending three as an assistant coach at Nova Southeastern, an NCAA Division II school in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
