Burnley 1-0 Stoke: George Boyd nets winning goal to give Sean Dyche's side much-needed victory against Potters

Burnley picked up a crucial 1-0 victory over Mark Hughes' Stoke on Tuesday night thanks to a second-half strike from George Boyd.

Following a dull opening period under the floodlights at Turf Moor, Boyd scored the opening goal of the game for the hosts in the 58th minute after guiding the ball home from a Jeff Hendrick cross.

Stoke couldn't find a breakthrough and Sean Dyche's men held on to pick up their first victory in all competitions since the end of January.
