If you are a Buffalo Sabres fan who has ever owned an NHL video game that allowed to create your own player, such as the current EA Sports NHL 17 allows you to do, you almost certainly created some massive hulk of a player that had maxed out ratings in every area. Then you slapped him in the Buffalo Sabres starting lineup, made sure the AI in the game was not godlike, and crushed the opposition en route to winning Lord Stanley’s Cup.
