The Buffalo Sabres host the Edmonton Oilers in the KeyBank Center tonight, which means that Sabres fans will be able to see the second pick of the 2015 NHL Draft, Jack Eichel, square off against the first pick of 2015, Connor McDavid, for only the second time.
Injuries to McDavid and Eichel have deprived fans of two potential head-to-head matchups, once in 2015 and once earlier this season. Hopefully, Eichel’s ankle holds up and we get to see what he can do against the Oilers, who are tied for the Pacific Division lead with the San Jose Sharks.
