Buffalo Sabres Bye Week: Suggestions, And Silver Linings!

Related Topics: Buffalo Sabres, Bye (sports)

The Buffalo Sabres are half way into their Bye Week, which leads me to ponder what they are up to. According to the rules, players cannot practice and are completely off work. Since the guys in Blue & Gold need to stay in shape, here’s the possible ideas my pea brain came up with, so the Sabres don’t lose an edge:

  • Play some 3-on-3 hockey at Buffalo RiverWorks
  • Kick back some beers and play air hockey at Dave and Busters
  • If the air hockey table is occupied, then some Super Chexx Bubble Hockey
  • Hone their gaming skills of themselves on NHL 2K17
  • Practice their golf swing at the Paddock Chevy Gold Dome
  • For the fathers on the team, playing mini hockey with their kids in the basement
  • Do some community service and play some unsanctioned street hockey with the kids on Winter Recess
  • Watch film on successful teams, like watching the tape from Chicago’s win in Buffalo last Sunday
  • Watch the Rochester Americans game tonight at KeyBank Center

When the Sabres come back to action this Saturday, they will be ice cold, and ready to take on a team that has been playing all week.
