The Buffalo Sabres could probably make a movie out of it. Instead of Desperately Seeking Susan, they could write the script for Desperately Seeking Head Coach.
The Sabres were high on Mike Babcock, and probably put the cart before the horse in letting it out there through the media (or the media creating it) that a deal was in place and all but agree upon before Babcock decided to go for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Now it appears that the same thing is happening with the Buffalo Sabres and the next perspective candidate on the coach watch radar, Dan Bylsma.
