BUFFALO, NY – Junior Joanna Smith from the University at Buffalo women's basketball team was named Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, as announced by the conference office on Monday. Smith is the first Bull to earn the weekly award four times in a season since Kourtney Brown did it five times in 2010-11.
The Southaven, MS native had another great week for the Bulls as they were able to go 1-1 with an upset victory over first-place Ohio. Smith finished off her week averaging 18.
