Youngstown, OH – The University at Buffalo indoor track and field team opened their 2018-19 season at the Youngstown Icebreaker hosted by Youngstown State on Friday with the Bulls collected two victories on the day in the 3000m and weight throw events.
Junior distance runner Caleb Covell continued his momentum from the cross country season, which saw him claim two MAC Runner of The Week honors, as he claimed victory in the men's 3000m event with a finishing time of 8:34.54 in a field of 21 runners. The Bulls dominated the event, claiming the top four spots with sophomore Christopher Nowak placing second, sophomore Patrick Hazlitt coming in third and Leon Atkins finishing fourth in the event.
