Titans rookie Dodd has surgery, to miss OTAs

Tennessee Titans second-round pick Kevin Dodd had preventative foot surgery on Thursday morning and will miss OTAs, but he is expected to be back by training camp, the team announced.

The NFL Network reported that the outside linebacker from Clemson discovered he had a stress fracture during rookie camp, and Thursday's procedure involved inserting a screw in the foot.

The 6-foot-5, 277-pound Dodd was the 33rd overall selection and is one of three second-round picks by the Titans in last month's draft. He had 12 sacks for Clemson, making up a formidable pass-rushing duo with Shaq Lawson, a first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills who has also been bitten by the injury bug.
