Eagles 20, Bills 16 - Bills lose a lousy preseason matchup

Related Topics: Eagles, LeSean McCoy, Sammy Watkins

The Buffalo Bills lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, 20-16, in a forgettable preseason game Thursday night.

The entire Bills starting offense, except for LeSean McCoy, came out flat and never got going. With Sammy Watkins gone and his replacement sidelined, Buffalo’s receiving corps did not look pretty. Anquan Boldin looked miscast as an outside receiver in 2-WR sets, being beaten on his route for a Ronald Darby interception. Zay Jones started to come into his own late in the first half, with three receptions for 42 yards and a toe-tapping endzone grab that just barely missed succeeding for a touchdown.
