Nets coach Kenny Atkinson doesn’t know what his rotation will be this season. He doesn’t even know how many minutes he plans to give to each player in the team’s first preseason game against Detroit on Thursday.
But on a team as young as the Nets, opportunity is abundant, and all the first-year coach needs to do is look at point guard Jeremy Lin to see what is possible when an overlooked player is given a chance.
“This is what we, as an organization, were thinking about guys like that,” Atkinson said. “They need another opportunity and that fit our style of play.
