While the Nets are headed out on a road trip to the southwest, the basketball operations staff will be at the HSS Training Center in Sunset Park doing what they do this time of year: preparing for a lot of personnel decisions. The Nets will have to decide on who to keep, who to pursue over the next five weeks, with 10-day deals, contracts guarantees and the trade deadline.
What should we expect? We don’t know and no one is telling us, but our bet is that there won’t be a lot of movement. The Nets want to stay under the luxury tax threshold both this year and next to avoid the dreaded repeater tax in 2025 as well as new CBA restrictions.
