Kevin Garnett Calls Joe Johnson "Joe Jesus", But Not For The Reason You Might Think

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Garnett is known for being a bit of a character, particularly when it comes to the nicknames he gives his teammates - and he may have come up with his best one to date for teammate Joe Johnson.

He calls him "Joe Jesus", but not because he's overly religious. Garnett says it's because "he's not always there when you call him, but he's there when you need him".

Johnson has been known to lack consistent aggressiveness on the court, causing him to fade in and out of games, but he always turns it on at the end of games and is one of the best clutch scorers in the NBA today.

Brooklyn has put Johnson on the trade block, along with Deron Williams and Brook Lopez, as the team looks to rebuild and get rid of the $25 million he's owed this season.

Johnson is averaging 15.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game so far this season, while Garnett is averaging 7.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Brooklyn has a 10-14 record on the year.
