BOWLING GREEN — C.J. Brown and R.J. Garcia II know what it takes to win a league title.
That knowledge could be critical for a Bowling Green State University football team looking to reach the top of the Mid-American Conference this year.
The two players, who transferred to BGSU earlier this year, were part of conference championship teams at their previous stops. Brown was a critical component of Northern Illinois’ 2021 MAC championship squad, while Garcia helped Kansas State claim the 2022 Big 12 Conference crown.
“I was blessed enough to win a Big 12 championship at Kansas State, and I think kind of the thing I took from that is just not really talking about it and just taking it one day at a time and just working your butt off, trying to win the day,” Garcia said after a recent BGSU spring practice.
