How Bowling Green's top 10 all-time recruits fared

In the era of recruiting rankings, top classes often predict future success. Every national champion since 2001 has had at at least one top-10 recruiting class within three years of winning.

At the MAC level, predicting the future stars is significantly more difficult, as players with little to no recruiting hype routinely become the best players in the conference.

The top 10 signees at Bowling Green, according to 247Sports’ rankings, have predictably run the gamut.

1. QB James Morgan (2015)

Morgan proved his billing as a recruit — just not at BG. After losing the starting job to Jarret Doege, Morgan grad transferred to Florida International and became one of the more efficient quarterbacks in college football: more than 65 percent of passes completed, 2,727 yards, and 26 touchdowns to set a new FIU record.
