Falcons offense explodes on big plays

BOWLING GREEN — Even though April Fools’ Day was over, Ronnie Moore had a trick in mind for the Bowling Green State University football team’s spring game Saturday.

“I went into the training room and told [head trainer] Al [Castillo], ‘I’m going to dress in full gear and tell everyone I’m playing,” said Moore, who has not practiced this spring because of a torn labrum. “When Al asked what I would say to coach, I said, ‘I’ll tell him I’m insane.’

“I was ready for this scrimmage.”

Moore wasn’t able to sneak into action in the scrimmage at Perry Field House, which featured 38 plays as well as work on punting and punt returns as well as field goal attempts.
