LEXINGTON, Ky.- Bowling Green State University Volleyball Coach Danijela Tomic was named the 2020-21 Northeast Region Coach of the Year, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Tuesday. She shared the honor with Wright State's Allie Matters.
For Tomic, the recognition comes in the midst of a historic season that has witnessed the Falcons go 22 -1, winning both the MAC Regular Season Championship and the MAC Tournament Championship. Over the course of the season, the Falcons went on an 18-match win streak marking the longest streak in both BGSU athletic department history to start a season and the longest consecutive win streak in program history.
