Bowling Green hockey loses regular-season finale

BOWLING GREEN — Northern Michigan scored three goals in the final period to claim a 4-2 CCHA hockey victory over Bowling Green on Saturday at the Slater Family Ice Arena.

The host Falcons took a 2-1 lead on a Nathan Burke goal at 13:24 of the second. But Northern Michigan’s David Keefer struck twice in the first 10 minutes of the third period to turn the tables, and Andre Ghantous added an empty-net goal in the final minute to give Northern Michigan the victory.

Ethan Scardina had BG’s first goal, which came at 15:19 of the first period.
