Sissoko faces ban and will miss derby

Spurs midfielder Moussa Sissoko faces a three-match for violent conduct and could miss the north London derby.

The France international, 27, elbowed Bournemouth's Harry Arter in the face during Saturday's goalless draw.

Sissoko apologised afterwards but was charged by the Football Association and Spurs will not appeal the decision.

A three-match ban would include Tuesday's EFL Cup tie at Liverpool, plus league games against Leicester and Arsenal.

The FA said the incident was missed by match officials and Sissoko had until 18:00 BST on Tuesday to respond.

"I need to say the elbow was in the face of Arter and it is clear," said Pochettino.
